The Alchemy of Touch!

Ayurvedic massages are a part of the ancient Ayurvedic medicine. They are performed with selected high quality warm herbal oils or ghee.

The balancing massages are relaxing the body and also the mind while they are vitalizing them in a deep way. Your life energies are flowing again and blockages can dissolve.

These massages are also highly recommended combined with a cleansing cause they are deeply purifying the body. Sesame oil in particular is known for its detoxifying and cleansing properties!

Special attention is paid to the marma points during the massage. Marma points are similar to the acupuncture points. They are also known as vital points, referring to places in the body where various nadis (structural channels such as blood vessels) come together. Blockages at these points can lead to discomfort.

I do not perform “big” forehead casts (Shirodharas), because these long performed head casts are included in the treatments as a curative Ayurvedic measure and you should rest afterwards. Because of their well known deep effect they are best performed in a stay of several days during an Ayurvedic cure.

If you want to give a massage as a gift, you can also purchase a voucher from me.Please write me a short note or contact me.

Relaxing, nourishing and
balancing massages

Prstabhyanga, back massage, Ayurveda

Abhyanga / the Ayurvedic
full body massage

The Ayurvedic full body massage is the most relaxing massage Ayurveda has to offer. The whole body is massaged with calm massage strokes and plenty of heated oil, while the oils have the opportunity to penetrate deep into the skin. The oil used is chosen appropriately for the individual body needs.

I love to use also an oil called “Mitradi Tailam” with jasmin and sandalwood in it. It smells wonderful and is great for us women.

The Abhyanga itself relaxes, nourishes the skin, strengthens the immune system and has a general harmonizing effect. It is very pleasant after stressful days to clear the head and it helps you to get a deep good sleep in the night.

Not recommended for:

  • acute illnesse
  • pregnancy
  • illnesses associated with strong mucus production

Duration: 60 minutes
(+ resting time approx. 10 minutes)

If you like to, you can enjoy a little sitting sauna (“Svedana”) afterwards.

Cost: 75 Euro or 85 Euro with Svedana

Padabhyanga /
Ayurvedic foot massage

Is a very relaxing massage in which not only the feet, but also the calves and marma points on the knees are massaged.

The blood circulation is stimulated and the muscles are loosened. Traditionally, heated ghee is used for this purpose, but also lavender oil, which has a calming effect on the whole body.

Foot massage promotes relaxation of the whole body and stimulates its selfhealing powers. Helpful for vata disorders such as nervous restlessness, insomnia and indigestion. Very beneficial on days when you had to walk or stand a lot.

Not recommended for:

  • Varicose veins
  • thrombosis
  • open wounds on the feet

Duration: 30 minutes

Cost: 45 euros

pressure on the right spots brings bliss and relief to the whole body

Mukabhyanga /
Ayurvedic facial massage

Is a wonderful harmonizing massage where the face, shoulders and the neck are massaged. Traditionally, a cooling nurturing oil such as rose oil is used for the head and face. The scent of rose oil has a harmonizing and mood-lifting effect too and I use it often in that massage, also for sure the smell is just adorable.

Those who do not like rose oil have the possibility to switch to another oil, e.g. almond oil.

A Mukabhyanga relaxes among other things the facial muscles and leaves the facial skin radiant. The massage is very gentle and has a calming and very relaxing effect. Very pleasant after tiring days, tension and stress.

Duration: 30 minutes

Cost: 45 Euro

Pristhabhyanga /

There are various marma points on the back, which are positively influenced by a massage. A back massage is very pleasant for tension and back pain.

  • Fever
