St\u00fcck vom sch\u00f6nen Belgien, im ber\u00fchmten Dreil\u00e4ndereck (oder dem Hohen Venn!), in der N\u00e4he von Maastricht, Aachen und L\u00fcttich. 3,5 Hektar, 210 m H\u00f6he, kalte, harte Winter, besonders hart wegen der kalten Luft, die manchmal aus dem Hohen Venn kommt, unglaublich sch\u00f6ne Sommer, und alles dazwischen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mehr als 50 Jahre vor uns hat die Bauernfamilie Lambertz (2 Br\u00fcder und Ehefrau Pauline) hier mit 8 K\u00fchen und viel harter Arbeit ihren Lebensunterhalt bestritten. Ein Bruder lebt noch, w\u00e4hrend ich schreibe&#8230; Gott segne sie, sie kannten hier eine ganz andere Zeit! Die Region hier ist voller Erinnerungen an den Zweiten Weltkrieg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">An der Einfahrt zu unserer Einfahrt f\u00fchrt eine Bahnlinie vorbei, und genau hier befindet sich auch ein Steinkreuz f\u00fcr einen armen Teufel, der 1944 (so erz\u00e4hlten mir die Bauern) von einem Gefangenenzug sprang, um zu entkommen, und an dieser Stelle starb&#8230;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Es fasziniert mich, wenn ich daran denke, wie das Leben hier noch vor 120 Jahren war, als das kleine, typisch belgische Bauernhaus aus dem \u00f6rtlichen Bruchstein gebaut wurde, der eine sehr sch\u00f6ne warme Farbe und Ausstrahlung hat. Sie verwendeten keinen Zement im M\u00f6rtel (!), und da der Boden mehr oder weniger aus festem Lehm bestand, machten sie auch keine &#8222;Fundamente&#8220;.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-2 fusion-flex-container has-pattern-background has-mask-background kleinen, aber sch\u00f6nen Gew\u00f6lbekeller angelegt, in dem sich auch ein steinerner Wassertank befindet, der im Sommer die K\u00fche mit dem vom Dach gesammelten Regenwasser versorgt. Abgesehen von einigen handgefertigten Eisenn\u00e4geln wurde \u00fcberhaupt kein Eisen verwendet, aber die Verwendung von Eichenholz f\u00fcr das Dach und das Zusammenhalten des Ganzen auf traditionelle Weise sorgte f\u00fcr ein robustes und langlebiges Haus. Das Leben muss sehr hart gewesen sein, wenn man nur von der Milch von 8 K\u00fchen leben konnte, mehr oder weniger.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Je nachdem, was man mit den 3,5 Hektar anstellt, kann es verdammt viel Arbeit sein, oder einfach nur eine Menge Arbeit, und als sie das Haus 1994 an uns verkauften, waren sie bereit, sich zur Ruhe zu setzen. Aber wir sind es nicht.
